Regional and Urban Development Agency, the Consultancy Group is a multidisciplinary consulting firm with registered office in Jammu and Kashmir and corporate office in Delhi. Established by a group of professionals specializing in planning, research & evaluation management, education, marketing, medicine, demographics, statistics, market research, communications, training and economics. Over the years team members of RUDA have worked closely with the Government of India (Several Departments), many state governments and district administrations; national and international donors; national and international NGOs and bilateral agencies.
Regional and Urban Development Agency was formed in 2009 and it has, since then has been successfully working in different parts of the Jammu and Kashmir state with the goal of improving living conditions and quality of life of the urban and rural poor. RUDA was built on the vision of like minded professionals from different segments of society who have pledged to raise the standard of living of the poor, needy and deprived residing in urban, rural and tribal areas. RUDA partners with various groups - from grass-roots development organizations, to the Government, funding agencies and the private sector, to work towards its purpose to improve livelihood opportunities especially in the difficult and disturbed districts of the state, access of the urban and rural poor to basic amenities such as adequate, safe and secure shelter, sanitation facilities, drinking water, electricity, etc.
We have been a valuable resource to various branches of the Government for the effective planning and implementation of its state and centrally sponsored programmes. This has allowed us to open new resources for addressing the basic needs of the urban and rural poor. We encourage the partnership of the private sector towards meeting social challenges by implementing innovative approaches for the upliftment of the underprivileged and those sections marginalized by society.
